Tamiya 1/35 Soviet SU-76M
Full Product Description
Tamiya 1/35 Soviet SU-76M
Introduced in 1943, the SU-76M became one of the Red Army's most versatile armored vehicles. Built on a modified T-70 light tank chassis and armed with the reliable 76.2mm ZiS-3 gun, the SU-76M served as a mobile artillery piece, infantry support vehicle, and tank destroyer.
Its open-topped fighting compartment gave crews excellent visibility and improved communication with supporting infantry. The vehicle was widely used throughout the Eastern Front and participated in virtually every major Soviet offensive from 1943 through the fall of Berlin.
Tamiya's kit faithfully reproduces the late-production SU-76M with detailed interior components, realistic armor textures, and crew figures that bring the vehicle to life.

Historical Background
The SU-76M became one of the Red Army's most important armored vehicles during World War II. Lightweight, reliable, and relatively inexpensive to manufacture, it provided Soviet forces with mobile artillery support and anti-tank capability.
Soviet crews nicknamed the vehicle "Suka" and "Columbine," while infantry appreciated its ability to accompany advancing troops and engage enemy strongpoints. More than 14,000 SU-76Ms were produced, making it one of the most numerous armored vehicles of the war.
The vehicle saw extensive service from Operation Bagration through the capture of Berlin in 1945.
