Tamiya 1/35 Jagdpanzer IV/70(V) Lang

Developed from the Panzer IV chassis, the Jagdpanzer IV/70(V) was designed to combine heavy anti-tank firepower with a low silhouette and strong frontal armor. The installation of the powerful Panther-derived 7.5cm Pak 42 L/70 gun transformed the vehicle into one of the Wehrmacht's most effective defensive weapons during the final stages of World War II.

Its long gun barrel earned the nickname "Lang" (Long), while crews often referred to the vehicle as the "Guderian Duck" because the heavy gun caused the front suspension to sit noticeably lower than the rear.

The Jagdpanzer IV/70 entered service in 1944 as Germany increasingly shifted toward defensive warfare. The vehicle's low profile made it difficult to detect while its powerful gun could engage Allied armor at long ranges.
