Tamiya 1/35 British LRDG Command Car North Africa with 7 Figures
Product Description
The Tamiya 1/35 British LRDG Command Car (North Africa) with 7 Figures is one of the best “diorama-in-a-box” kits available, capturing the rugged vehicles used by the Long Range Desert Group (LRDG) during WWII.
Operating deep behind enemy lines in North Africa, the LRDG specialized in reconnaissance and hit-and-run raids against Axis forces from 1940–1943. Their vehicles were heavily modified trucks loaded with fuel, weapons, and supplies—perfectly represented in this kit.
This boxing (No. 32407) includes not just the vehicle, but seven highly detailed figures in realistic poses, developed in collaboration with Master Box—giving you everything needed to build a complete desert scene straight from the box.
The model features excellent surface detail, including:
Extensive stowage (jerry cans, gear, weapons)
Multiple mounted machine guns
Open cargo layout for realistic customization
Detailed chassis and suspension
The vehicle measures approximately 157mm in length when assembled, making it compact but visually packed with detail.
Fit is typical Tamiya—clean, straightforward, and enjoyable. This kit works well for beginners due to its engineering, but it really shines for intermediate builders who want to push weathering, stowage, and storytelling.
