Special Hobby's impressive 1/48 scale Heinkel He 177A-3 Greif brings one of World War II's most unusual heavy bombers to quarter scale.
The He 177 was Germany's only heavy four-engine bomber to see substantial operational service during World War II. Although it appears to be a twin-engine aircraft, each nacelle housed a pair of coupled engines driving a single four-bladed propeller—an unusual arrangement that contributed to both the aircraft's distinctive appearance and its notorious mechanical problems.

About This Release
SH48210 is an updated release of Special Hobby's enormous 1/48 He 177. Rather than simply putting the older kit into a new box, Special Hobby has upgraded it with newly tooled small-detail parts.
The kit combines the original He 177 components with newer metal-molded parts, particularly improving areas of the interior and undercarriage.
Special Hobby also includes a mixture of multimedia components, including photo-etched, resin and 3D-printed details.
Marking Options
Two Luftwaffe aircraft are included.
One represents an He 177 involved in Operation Steinbock, the Luftwaffe's 1944 bombing offensive against Britain that became known as the “Baby Blitz.”
The other marking option features an aircraft with distinctive yellow identification markings.
