Full Product Description
Dragon 1/35 StuG III Ausf.G "Black Knight"
The StuG III Ausf.G was the ultimate development of Germany's highly successful Sturmgeschütz assault gun series. Originally designed as infantry support, the StuG evolved into one of the Wehrmacht's most effective tank destroyers. By the end of the war, more StuG IIIs had been produced than any German tank.
Dragon's "Black Knight" release represents a late-production StuG III Ausf.G finished in a dramatic dark camouflage scheme inspired by vehicles operating on the Eastern Front during the final months of the war. The kit features Dragon's acclaimed Smart Kit design philosophy, providing exceptional detail while keeping assembly straightforward.
This release includes highly detailed fighting compartment hatches, slide-molded gun components, separate tools, finely rendered weld seams, and Dragon's famous Magic Tracks for realistic track detail.

Historical Background
The StuG III became one of Germany's most effective armored fighting vehicles of World War II. Lower, cheaper, and often more reliable than turreted tanks, the StuG III proved deadly against Allied armor while also supporting infantry operations.
Late-production Ausf.G vehicles fought on every front from Normandy to Berlin. Their low silhouette, powerful 75mm gun, and thick frontal armor made them dangerous opponents even in the final months of the war.
The "Black Knight" scheme represents the type of striking late-war camouflage that makes German armor a favorite subject among modelers.
