Kitty Hawk 1/35 SH-60F Ocean Hawk

Kit No. KH50007

Kitty Hawk 1/35 SH-60F Ocean Hawk

The Sikorsky SH-60F “Ocean Hawk” served as the U.S. Navy’s primary carrier-based anti-submarine warfare helicopter during the late Cold War and post–Cold War era. Developed from the SH-60 Seahawk family, the SH-60F replaced the aging SH-3 Sea King aboard aircraft carriers and specialized in submarine hunting using its powerful AQS-13 dipping sonar system and sonobuoy equipment. The aircraft also served in search-and-rescue and logistics support roles throughout its operational life.

Kitty Hawk’s 1/35 scale SH-60F was released in 2020 as part of the company’s ambitious large-scale Seahawk helicopter series. The kit immediately attracted attention because few manufacturers had attempted modern naval helicopters in 1/35 scale with this level of detail.
