Kit No. KH32008
Kitty Hawk 1/32 F-86K Sabre Dog
The North American F-86K was a NATO export interceptor developed from the F-86D Sabre Dog. Unlike the rocket-armed F-86D used by the USAF, the F-86K replaced the retractable rocket tray with four 20mm cannons and simplified electronics for export use by NATO nations. The aircraft served with Germany, France, Italy, Norway, the Netherlands, and several other European air forces during the height of the Cold War.
Kitty Hawk released the 1/32 F-86K in 2015 as a follow-up to its F-86D tooling. The kit quickly gained attention because the F-86K had rarely been produced in large scale, especially with this level of detail and optional open panels.
