The Semovente M43 da 105/25 was Italy's most capable armored fighting vehicle produced during World War II. Developed from the M15/42 tank chassis, it mounted a powerful 105mm howitzer within a heavily armored casemate. Its combination of increased armor protection and improved firepower made it highly respected by both Italian and German crews.

Following the Italian Armistice in September 1943, many completed vehicles were taken over by the German Army and continued serving in northern Italy until the end of the war.

Only around 120 examples were produced, making it one of the rarer Axis armored vehicles of WWII and a popular subject for military modelers.
