Italeri 1/48 B-25G Mitchell (Kit 2787)
For the Italeri 1/48 B-25G Mitchell (Kit 2787), the most important buying criteria are interior detail, accuracy of the cannon nose, fit quality, and overall value compared to newer B-25 kits. The Italeri release uses the highly regarded Accurate Miniatures tooling, which many modelers still consider one of the best B-25 families ever produced in 1/48 scale. Historical Background
The B-25G was one of the most unusual Mitchell variants. It replaced the standard bombardier nose with a powerful 75mm M4 cannon, turning the aircraft into a low-level attack aircraft used primarily against shipping and ground targets in the Pacific. A total of approximately 420 B-25Gs were built before production shifted to the improved B-25H.
