Italeri 1/35 M6 Gun Motor Carriage WC-55 Kit No. 6555
Italeri 1/35 M6 Gun Motor Carriage WC-55
Kit No. 6555
Italeri 1/35 M6 Gun Motor Carriage WC-55
The M6 Gun Motor Carriage was developed by mounting the 37mm M3 anti-tank gun onto the rugged Dodge WC-52 4x4 weapons carrier chassis. Intended as a fast-moving tank destroyer and infantry support vehicle, the M6 GMC entered service during the North African campaign and saw combat in Tunisia, Sicily, Italy, and the Pacific. While the lightweight 37mm gun quickly became ineffective against newer German armor, the vehicle remained useful as a mobile infantry support platform.
Italeri’s 1/35 scale kit captures the compact but aggressive appearance of the WC-55 with its rear-mounted anti-tank gun, open fighting compartment, and classic Dodge military vehicle styling. The kit is a relatively modern Italeri release compared to many of their older armor subjects and includes color instructions and multiple marking options.
