Recreate the rugged LTV A-7D Corsair II, one of the United States Air Force's dedicated ground-attack aircraft of the Vietnam War era.
Developed from the U.S. Navy's A-7 Corsair II, the USAF's A-7D incorporated a more powerful Allison TF41 turbofan engine, advanced navigation and weapons-delivery systems, and an internal M61 Vulcan 20mm cannon.
The aircraft earned a reputation for accurate weapons delivery, substantial payload capacity, and excellent operational range.
This special Hasegawa Limited Edition release features Vietnam-era markings, including striking shark-mouth nose artwork and the classic Southeast Asia camouflage scheme.

How Does It Compare?
Hasegawa's A-7D remains a respected 1/48-scale Corsair II kit, particularly for modelers who appreciate accurate overall shapes and restrained surface detailing.
Compared with older Monogram and ESCI/Italeri kits, Hasegawa generally offers more refined surface engraving and a more modern presentation. Hobby Boss offers a newer alternative with additional detailing options, although modelers have raised questions about aspects of its accuracy.
Hasegawa's tooling is not new, and some cockpit and intake details may benefit from aftermarket improvements. However, it remains an excellent foundation for a detailed USAF A-7D.
Working Title Models Assessment: A worthwhile choice for intermediate and advanced builders interested in Vietnam-era tactical aviation. The special shark-mouth markings make this limited-edition release particularly attractive.
