Full Product Description

Hasegawa 1/32 Messerschmitt Bf 109F-4/Trop

The Messerschmitt Bf 109F "Friedrich" is often regarded by historians and pilots as the best-balanced version of the famous Bf 109 series. With cleaner aerodynamics, a redesigned nose, rounded wingtips, and improved handling characteristics, the F-series represented a major advancement over the earlier Bf 109E.

The F-4/Trop variant was specifically adapted for service in North Africa. Modifications included a tropical dust filter mounted on the supercharger intake and a revised oil cooler system to cope with desert conditions. These aircraft served with the Luftwaffe's most famous fighter units and were flown by legendary aces including Hans-Joachim Marseille, the "Star of Africa."

Hasegawa's ST31 kit includes 154 plastic parts, clear parts, optional equipment, and a resin Marseille figure. The kit was praised by reviewers for its accuracy, engineering, and buildability.
