Full Product Description
Hasegawa 1/32 Curtiss P-40E Warhawk
The Curtiss P-40E Warhawk was one of the most widely used Allied fighters of World War II. Rugged, heavily armed, and capable of operating from primitive airfields, the P-40 served in every major theater of the war, including North Africa, China, the Pacific, and the Southwest Pacific.
The aircraft became famous through the exploits of the Flying Tigers, whose shark-mouth P-40s became some of the most recognizable aircraft of the war.
Hasegawa's 1/32 scale P-40E Warhawk is considered by many modelers to be the benchmark large-scale Warhawk kit. Featuring excellent fit, accurate shape, detailed cockpit components, optional bomb and drop tank, and crisp surface detail, it builds into an impressive replica of this legendary fighter. Reviewers have praised the cockpit detail, engineering, and overall accuracy.

Historical Background
The P-40E introduced six wing-mounted .50 caliber machine guns and became one of the most important Allied fighters during the early years of World War II. While it lacked the high-altitude performance of later fighters, its rugged construction, firepower, and reliability made it a favorite among pilots operating in harsh combat environments.
P-40s flew with American, British, Australian, Soviet, Chinese, and numerous Allied air forces throughout the conflict.
