Product Description

The B-25 Mitchell is one of the most versatile and recognizable medium bombers of World War II, and this volume from the acclaimed Detail & Scale series provides an in-depth look at every major version of the aircraft.

Written by aviation historian Bert Kinzey, Volume 60 covers the development, production, operational history, and technical features of the B-25 family. This expanded edition includes coverage of U.S. Navy and Marine Corps PBJ variants and features the larger format with expanded color photography that made later Detail & Scale releases highly desirable among aviation enthusiasts and model builders.

The Mitchell gained worldwide fame during the Doolittle Raid of April 1942 and went on to serve in every major theater of World War II. From high-altitude bombing missions to low-level strafing attacks in the Pacific, the B-25 proved to be one of the most adaptable combat aircraft of the war.

For scale modelers, this volume offers valuable references for cockpit interiors, armament installations, camouflage schemes, markings, nose art, and variant-specific details.
